Terms of Service
Effective date: 2026-09-07
Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms govern the rights, obligations and responsibilities between 주식회사 라비랩스 (the "Company") and users in relation to the e-commerce services (the "Services") provided through the 라비마켓 online store (the "Store").
Article 2 (Definitions)
- "Store" means the virtual place of business set up by the Company to trade goods or services ("Goods") with users through information and communication facilities, and also refers to the business operating it.
- "User" means any member or non-member who accesses the Store and uses the Services under these Terms.
- "Member" means a person who has registered with the Store and may continuously use the Services.
- "Non-member" means a person who uses the Services without registering as a member.
Article 3 (Posting, Explanation and Amendment of the Terms)
- The Store posts these Terms together with its trade name, representative, business address, telephone number, business registration number, mail-order business registration number and privacy officer on its initial service screen so that users can easily find them. The full text of the Terms may be shown through a linked page.
- Before a user agrees to the Terms, the Store provides a separate linked page or pop-up explaining important matters such as withdrawal of offer, delivery responsibility and refund conditions.
- The Store may amend these Terms to the extent that the amendment does not violate applicable laws, including the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions, the Framework Act on Electronic Documents and Transactions, the Electronic Financial Transactions Act, the Digital Signature Act, the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, the Door-to-Door Sales Act and the Framework Act on Consumers.
- When amending the Terms, the Store announces the effective date and the reason on its initial screen together with the current Terms from 7 days before the effective date until the day before it. Amendments unfavorable to users are announced at least 30 days in advance, with a clear comparison of the old and new provisions.
- Amended Terms apply only to contracts concluded on or after the effective date; contracts concluded earlier remain subject to the previous Terms, unless the user asks the Store within the notice period to apply the amended Terms and the Store agrees.
- Matters not provided for in these Terms and their interpretation follow the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions, the Consumer Protection Guidelines in Electronic Commerce set by the Korea Fair Trade Commission, other applicable laws and commercial practice.
Article 4 (Provision and Change of Services)
- The Store performs the following:
- Providing information on Goods and concluding purchase contracts
- Delivering Goods for which a purchase contract has been concluded
- Other tasks determined by the Store
- When Goods are out of stock or their technical specifications change, the Store may change the Goods to be supplied under future contracts, and immediately posts the changed content and supply date where the current Goods are displayed.
- If the Store changes the content of Services it has contracted to provide for such reasons, it immediately notifies the user at an address where notice can be given.
- In such a case the Store compensates the user for any resulting damage, unless it proves that it acted without intent or negligence.
Article 5 (Suspension of Services)
- The Store may temporarily suspend the Services for maintenance, replacement or failure of information and communication facilities, or interruption of communications.
- The Store compensates users or third parties for damage caused by such temporary suspension, unless it proves that it acted without intent or negligence.
- If the Services can no longer be provided due to a change of business, abandonment of business or merger, the Store notifies users under Article 8 and compensates consumers under the conditions originally presented.
Article 6 (Membership Registration)
- A user applies for membership by filling in the registration form and indicating agreement to these Terms. The same applies to registration through external accounts such as Kakao.
- The Store registers the applicant as a member unless the applicant:
- previously lost membership under Article 7(3), except where 3 years have passed and the Store has approved re-registration;
- provided false information, omissions or errors;
- is under 14 years of age;
- would cause significant technical difficulty for the Store.
- The membership contract is formed when the Store's acceptance reaches the member.
- Members must update their information in My Page within a reasonable time after any change.
Article 7 (Withdrawal and Loss of Membership)
- A member may request withdrawal at any time, and the Store processes it immediately.
- The Store may restrict or suspend membership if the member:
- registered false information;
- fails to pay for Goods or other obligations to the Store when due;
- threatens e-commerce order, such as interfering with others' use or misappropriating their information;
- uses the Store for acts prohibited by law or these Terms, or contrary to public order and morals.
- If the same conduct is repeated twice or more, or is not corrected within 30 days after restriction or suspension, the Store may terminate the membership.
- Upon termination the registration is cancelled. The Store notifies the member and gives at least 30 days to explain before cancellation.
Article 8 (Notice to Members)
- The Store may give notice to a member at the e-mail address designated by the member.
- For notice to unspecified members, the Store may post the notice in its announcements for at least one week instead of individual notice. Matters that materially affect a member's own transactions are notified individually.
Article 9 (Purchase Request and Consent to Provision of Personal Information)
- Users request purchases through the following or similar steps, and the Store presents each item clearly:
- Searching and selecting Goods
- Entering the recipient's name, address and telephone number
- Confirming the Terms, services for which withdrawal is restricted, and costs such as shipping fees
- Indicating agreement to these Terms and confirmation or refusal of the above
- Requesting the purchase and confirming it, or agreeing to the Store's confirmation
- Selecting a payment method
- Where the Store needs to provide or entrust a buyer's personal information to a third party, it obtains the buyer's consent at the time of the purchase request rather than as blanket consent at registration, and states the items provided, the recipient, the recipient's purpose and the retention period.
Article 10 (Formation of Contract)
- The Store may decline a purchase request that contains false information, omissions or errors; that is made by a minor for goods restricted under the Juvenile Protection Act; or that would cause significant technical difficulty. When contracting with a minor, the Store notifies that the minor or legal guardian may cancel the contract if the guardian's consent is not obtained.
- The contract is formed when the Store's acceptance reaches the user in the form of the receipt confirmation under Article 12(1).
- The Store's acceptance includes confirmation of the purchase request, availability, and information on correction or cancellation.
Article 11 (Payment Methods)
Payment may be made by any available method below. The Store does not add any fee of any kind to the price of Goods depending on the payment method.
- Credit, debit and other cards
- Account transfer, virtual account and other online deposits
- Simple-payment and other electronic payment services
- Coupons issued by the Store
- Other electronic payment methods
Article 12 (Receipt Confirmation, Change and Cancellation of Purchase Request)
- The Store sends a receipt confirmation when a user makes a purchase request.
- A user who finds a discrepancy may request a change or cancellation immediately after receiving the confirmation, and the Store processes such a request without delay if made before shipment. If payment has already been made, Article 15 on withdrawal applies.
Article 13 (Supply of Goods)
- Unless otherwise agreed, the Store takes necessary steps such as custom production and packaging so that Goods can be delivered within 7 days from the order; where payment has been received in whole or in part, within 3 business days from receipt. The Store lets the user check the supply procedure and progress.
- The Store specifies the delivery method, who bears the delivery cost and the delivery period. If the Store exceeds the agreed delivery period, it compensates the user for resulting damage unless it proves that it acted without intent or negligence.
Article 14 (Refund for Unavailable Goods)
If Goods cannot be delivered because they are out of stock or for similar reasons, the Store notifies the user without delay and, where payment was received in advance, refunds it or takes necessary measures within 3 business days from receipt of payment.
Article 15 (Withdrawal of Offer)
- A user may withdraw the offer within 7 days from receipt of the written contract terms under Article 13(2) of the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce (or, if the Goods were supplied later, from the day the Goods were received or supply began). Where that Act provides otherwise, the Act applies.
- After receiving the Goods, the user may not return or exchange them where:
- the Goods were lost or damaged due to the user's fault (opening the packaging to check the contents does not prevent withdrawal);
- the value of the Goods has clearly decreased through the user's use or partial consumption;
- the value has decreased over time to the point that resale is difficult;
- the packaging of original Goods that can be reproduced with the same performance has been damaged;
- the Goods are produced individually to the user's order and withdrawal would cause serious, irreparable harm to the Store, provided this was separately notified in advance and the user gave written (including electronic) consent.
- In the cases of items 2 to 4 above, withdrawal is not restricted unless the Store clearly indicated the restriction in advance where consumers could easily see it or provided a trial product.
- Notwithstanding the above, if the Goods differ from their labeling or advertising or were supplied differently from the contract, the user may withdraw within 3 months from receipt, or within 30 days from the day the user knew or could have known of the fact.
Article 16 (Effect of Withdrawal)
- The Store refunds the price within 3 business days after the Goods are returned. If the refund is delayed, the Store pays late interest at the rate set by the Enforcement Decree of the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce for the period of delay.
- Where the user paid by credit card or electronic money, the Store promptly asks the payment provider to suspend or cancel the charge.
- The user bears the cost of returning the Goods upon withdrawal. The Store does not claim penalties or damages for withdrawal. Where withdrawal is due to Goods differing from their labeling, advertising or the contract, the Store bears the return cost.
- Where the user paid a shipping fee on receipt, the Store clearly indicates who bears that cost upon withdrawal.
Article 17 (Protection of Personal Information)
- The Store collects only the minimum personal information necessary to provide the Services.
- The Store does not collect in advance, at registration, information needed to perform a purchase contract, except minimum information required for identity verification under applicable law.
- The Store notifies the purpose and obtains consent when collecting or using personal information.
- The Store does not use personal information beyond its purpose. For a new purpose or provision to a third party, it notifies the purpose and obtains consent at that stage, unless the law provides otherwise.
- Users may at any time request access to and correction of their personal information, and the Store takes necessary measures without delay. Until an error is corrected, the Store does not use the information concerned.
- The Store limits the persons handling personal information to a minimum and is responsible for damage to users caused by loss, theft, leakage, unauthorized provision or alteration of personal information, including card and bank account details.
- The Store and any third party that received personal information destroy it without delay once the purpose has been achieved.
- Details are set out in the separate Privacy Policy.
Article 18 (Obligations of the Store)
- The Store does not engage in acts prohibited by law or these Terms or contrary to public order and morals, and does its best to provide Goods and services continuously and stably.
- The Store maintains a security system to protect users' personal information (including credit information).
- If a user suffers damage from unfair labeling or advertising under Article 3 of the Fair Labeling and Advertising Act, the Store is liable for compensation.
- The Store does not send unsolicited commercial e-mail.
Article 19 (Obligations regarding ID and Password)
- Except as provided in Article 17, members are responsible for managing their ID and password.
- Members must not let third parties use their ID or password.
- If a member becomes aware that the ID or password has been stolen or is being used by a third party, the member must immediately notify the Store and follow its instructions.
Article 20 (Obligations of Users)
Users must not:
- register false information when applying or making changes;
- misappropriate others' information;
- alter information posted on the Store;
- transmit or post information (such as computer programs) other than that permitted by the Store;
- infringe the copyright or other intellectual property rights of the Store or third parties;
- damage the reputation of, or interfere with the business of, the Store or third parties;
- post obscene or violent messages, images, audio or other information contrary to public order and morals.
Article 21 (Copyright)
- Copyright and other intellectual property rights in works created by the Store belong to the Store.
- Users must not, without the Store's prior consent, use for profit or let third parties use information in which the Store holds intellectual property rights by reproduction, transmission, publication, distribution, broadcasting or other means.
- When the Store uses a copyright belonging to a user under an agreement, it notifies the user.
Article 22 (Dispute Resolution)
- The Store operates a customer service center to reflect legitimate opinions and complaints and to compensate for damage.
- The Store handles complaints and opinions with priority; where prompt handling is difficult, it immediately informs the user of the reason and schedule.
- Where a user applies for remedy in an e-commerce dispute, the parties may follow mediation by a dispute mediation body commissioned by the Korea Fair Trade Commission or a mayor or provincial governor.
Article 23 (Jurisdiction and Governing Law)
- Lawsuits concerning e-commerce disputes between the Store and a user are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the district court having jurisdiction over the user's address at the time of filing, or residence if there is no address. If the user's address or residence is unclear or the user resides abroad, the competent court under the Korean Civil Procedure Act applies.
- The laws of the Republic of Korea apply to e-commerce lawsuits between the Store and users.
- These Terms were written in Korean. If a translated version differs from the Korean version, the Korean version prevails.
